Our Volunteer Team

Lauren Bartlett is currently a Staff Attorney for foreclosure defense at New Orleans Legal Assistance (NOLAC). Lauren is also a board member of the Lower 9th Ward Village, a community-focused center in the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. In early 2007, Lauren helped co-found the Louisiana Justice Institute, a nonprofit civil rights legal advocacy organization. Lauren is also a former leader of the Student Hurricane Network (SHN), where she coordinated multiple volunteer projects and events for law students who came to the Gulf Coast from across the U.S. Lauren graduated in May 2007 from American University Washington College of Law. Prior to law school, Lauren worked with nonprofit social service organizations, in California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Washington D.C., Washington State, as well as internationally in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Ghana. She can be reached at lbartlett@seno-nola.org.Lauren Bartlett Christopher Brown is a New Orleans native with substantial experience in film and video production in New Orleans and Hollywood. Christopher has also provided video and producing services for a diverse array of non-profit and grassroots organizations in the New Orleans area, some of which include: NOLA Yurp, Levees.org, Zeitgeist Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center, Ashé Cultural Arts Center, We Shall Not Be Moved, Charitable Film Network, Spirit of Humanity Festival, Ozone Film Festival, The Village 9th Ward Community Center, New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC), The University of New Orleans Filmmakers Group, HomelessPride.org, FEAR festival, and Clyde Casey's Mardi Gras Outdoor Cinema. He graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a B.A. in Management where he directed and produced programming at the SLU Channel. Brown Andrea is a former New Orleans public school teacher who taught high school English at John McDonogh Sr. High School, Lusher Charter School, and New Orleans Charter for Science and Math High School. She currently supervises the development and certification of teachers through The New Teacher Project, Teach For America, and the Greater New Orleans Writing Project at the University of New Orleans. She co-founded and currently leads a children's literacy organization, First Book-Greater New Orleans (www.firstbook.org/nola), that has distributed 25,000 brand new books to children from low-income families. She graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Philosophy and Anthropological Sciences and earned a M.Ed. in Education Policy and Management from the University of New Orleans and Harvard Graduate School of Education. She can be reached at achen@seno-nola.org.Andrea Chen Jewel joined SENO because she was attracted by the simplicity of its mission: to nourish and profile innovative efforts aimed at bettering New Orleans. She currently works as a community outreach and volunteer management specialist, spreading awareness of local health and social issues. Prior to this position, Jewel worked as a case manager, providing assistance to those affected by Hurricane Katrina in a city of limited resources. Jewel is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana. She can be reached at jconstance@seno-nola.org.Jewel Constance As the Chair of the Mentoring/ Coaching/ Consulting Program Committee for SENO, Eduardo will combine his corporate experience with his academic background in business and liberal arts to build a solid network of support for social entrepreneurs in the New Orleans community. Eduardo received a B.S. in Management from EAUFBA in Brazil, an MBA from the University of New Orleans (Finance and International Business concentration), and is now pursuing his M.A. at Tulane University in Philosophy and Sociology. Eduardo Platon has worked within the corporate sector for over 10 years and has successfully managed key projects for small and large companies in Brazil and the United States. He currently assists the Pro-Bono Project of New Orleans as they provide legal assistance to the Hispanic community. In addition, Eduardo Platon is the Chairman and Founder of Greenlight Operations LLC, an innovative company based on New Orleans dedicated to consulting services with social responsibility to small businesses and non-profits. Eduardo can be reached at eplaton@seno-nola.org.Eduardo Platon David W. Robinson-Morris, Jr., is the Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Relations at Loyola University New Orleans. Prior to his current job, David worked as the Senior Publicist in the Mayor's Office of Communications, City of New Orleans. David graduated from Loyola University New Orleans, where he served as Senior Congressperson-at-Large on the Student Government Association, Executive Media Coordinator for the University Programming Board (UPB), and several Board of Trustee committees. In addition to being on the steering committee for SENO, David also serves on the Board of Directors for NOLA180 Langston Hughes Academy Charter School and is a member Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Psi. Robinson-Morris, Jr. Morgan Williams, a ninth generation New Orleans native, graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Studies at Oberlin College, and with a J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane Law School. With a Fellowship from Equal Justice Works and Fannie Mae, Mr. Williams will spend the next two years as a staff attorney at the Greater New Orleans Fair Housing Action Center, helping low-income, disabled New Orleans residents access housing. Mr. Williams has worked as a law clerk intern with the Department of Justice's Criminal Anti-Trust Division, the Honorable Judge Sarah Vance, New Orleans Legal Assistance Housing Department, the New York City Bar Justice Center's Homelessness Clinic, and the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund. He can be reached at mwilliams@seno-nola.org.Morgan Williams Blake Haney is a New Orleans native who has become a serial entrepreneur. His professional career began with the opening of his design studio Whence: the studio in 2002. He quickly followed to help launch and run for two years a community organization New Breed New Orleans. His most recent entrepreneurial venture is Dirty Coast Press, a merchandise line. He will next launch Humid Beings and Willdoo, both web-based companies. His interest and involvement in the New Orleans community began before Katrina and continues to this day. The main themes that intrigue him are: the interconnectedness and growth of local media; the impact of NOLA converts on community; and how art, design and storytelling can help the city archive and examine its past and help guide the future.Blake Haney
When Chris Boudy is not looking at HTML code or watching Family Guy on his iPhone, you can find him trying to pry himself away from his computer. His dream is to one day mix his two favorite things into one: sleeping and web design.
