Public Relations Committee: We are constantly looking to add additional social entrepreneurs to profile on our website. We are currently recruiting talented individuals with excellent communication and writing skills to interview and write up profiles of local social entrepreneurs, to develop copy, to research resources to include on the website, and photographers to help us take shots of social entrepreneurs in action. In addition, we are looking for volunteer programmers to help us develop features for our website and will need help creating our media outreach strategy for SENO. Mentoring, Consulting, and Coaching Program Committee: We are working with the award-winning nonprofit, Echoing Green, to develop a mentoring and coaching program for aspiring and new social entrepreneurs. We are looking for individuals who would be interested in doing outreach to develop a database of professional volunteers, researching best mentoring practices, designing a new program, coordinating with Echoing Green, and recruiting mentors and mentees to participate in this project. Social Entrepreneurs Networking and Meetings Committee: We have hosted networking luncheons for social entrepreneurs at Ashe Cultural Arts Center, Trumpet Group, and the Neighborhoods Partnership Network where social entrepreneurs meet to share resources, advice, support, and contacts. We are looking for individuals who would be excited about finding sponsors in the business community to host luncheons. We are also looking for individuals to be facilitators! If you are interested in heading up a committee, the commitment to the group is for 6 months for 15-20 hours/month. If you cannot make that commitment but would like to help out on a project, join a committee. You'll have the chance to work with and get to know interesting people, network with social entrepreneurs locally and nationally, and help to promote social entrepreneurship in New Orleans!
